My Wish with Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio

I have been meaning to make this for my sister since my wedding which was 7 years ago!  I kept making excuses like "I don't have the time" or "I don't have the perfect supplies to make it."

Then I realized, I do have the perfect supplies and would only take a short time to make it.  How would I do it you ask?  Well it's called My Digital Studio!

I couldn't believe I didn't realize this a long time ago.  Not only could I pick from many different tools but I could manipulate the page to exactly what I wanted it to look like in no time!  I literally probably spent no longer than 30 minutes to create this page.  (I have to admit I didn't pay attention to the size picture frame I bought so had to rework the size of the page after I had it all finished which added maybe an extra 10 minutes)  I will take 40 minutes to finish a project any day though.!

Let me explain the page though.  My sister and I have been best friends for a LONG time now.  We had our fights growing up but grew extremely close in college.  She was my maid of honor in our wedding and played such a big part planning it since I was living in Virginia at the time with the wedding being in Pittsburgh.  My thought was to make this soon after the wedding as a thank you, but going on 7 years later that didn't work out.  So instead it's going to be a birthday present.

Anyways, at the wedding she requested "My Wish," by Rascall Flatts.  If you haven't heard that song or know the words google it cause it's such a touching song.  My sister and I were bawling our eyes out on the dance floor because after the wedding my husband and I were moving to San Diego, CA.  (Little did we know then that she was going to move to San Diego herself in a year!)  The song fit our situation perfectly.

I am getting better and more used to digital crafting.  My Digital Studio is so wonderful in allowing me to grow as a digital crafter.  I feel like I'm expanding what I'm able to do and make with this software.

Wedding Touches with Stampin' Up!

My sister got married 1.4.14.  We had a lot of handmade touches especially as I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and it's what I do!!  I just wanted to show you some pictures of the things I made for her to use.

These first pictures are signs I made using My Digital Studio (MDS).  She had various baskets of things that people could borrow during the night to keep them warm since it was a winter wedding.

The next pictures are banners I made for the 2 bars that she was having; s'more and hot chocolate bar.  These signs hung from the tables in front of the bar.

It really was a great pleasure helping my sister plan for her wedding.  I look forward to planning her baby shower when that comes around!

Pittsburgh Penguins Bachelorette Party Invitations

My sister got married January 4, 2014 and I threw her a bridal shower that you can see from my previous post here.  Since it took a lot of time and money to throw her the bridal shower one of the other bridesmaids took charge of the bachelorette party.  I did volunteer to make the invites since I had an idea to make it like a hockey jersey with it being a Pittsburgh Penguins themed party.

It took me a little time and playing around to figure out how I wanted it to look and open but I was so happy with the way it turned out.  I just love the tie up just like the real hockey jerseys have.  Her name is Cori so I could put the C on the front like a captain too!

Her new last name is Weber so I wanted to incorporate that and with her date being 1.4.14 is why I chose the number 14.

Inside made with MDS

The inside I created with My Digital Studio which was so easy.  I downloaded a picture of the Pittsburgh Penguins logo then made it opaque enough that you can read the words and added some stars and that was it.  One of my favorite tools when it comes to customizing my creations is My Digital Studio!

Happy St. Patrick's Day with Stampin' Up! MDS Project

I found this project on Pinterest and thought it was so cute that I just had to recreate it to have my sons pass out at school to celebrate St Patty's Day.  I thought about using my supplies to do it but with needing to make 18, it would have taken too long and a lot of my supplies.

So what to do?  My Digital Studio to the rescue!  I could quickly create this tag then print it out from my computer and have it saved for future use!!  I really am becoming more and more in love with this software.
