Merry Minis

Have you ever wondered where I get inspiration for my cards?  Well if you've been reading my blog you know a lot of it comes from Pinterest, but another great source that I use is our demonstrator only magazine called Stampin' Success.  This is a bimonthly magazine that is sent to demonstrators with lots of projects and business related items.  I just LOVE getting this magazine and probably fold over every page for things I want to make or do!

So I was inspired in the July magazine with this card below.  I CASE'd it almost identically but changed just a few things to fit the supplies I had.  I just love how simple this card is but with lots of little details to make it really stand out.

Supplies needed to make this card:

Stampin' Up! Adhesive Options
Step 1: Stamp 20 of the larger ornament images on Very Vanilla card stock with Old Olive ink. Cut out with the coordinating Holiday Ornaments Framelits Die using the Big Shot. Stamp 20 of the small ornament images on Very Vanilla card stock with Cherry Cobbler ink. Cut out with the coordinating Holiday Ornaments Framelits Die using the Big Shot. Score 15 of each ornament in half from top to bottom using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. Fold in half along the score line.

Step 2: Use the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere three of the scored ornaments together. Adhere one half of the first ornament lined up with one half of the next ornament and then do the same with the third ornament. Leave one half of the first and last ornaments un-glued. Repeat the steps until you have created 5 sets of the 3-ornament groupings in each ornament style. Add Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the halves of the first and last ornaments in the 3-ornament grouping. Adhere to the back of an un-scored ornament of the same style. Repeat for all 5 sets of each style.

Step 3: Punch a circle from scrap card stock using the 1-3/8” Circle Punch. Place the circle on the Silicone Craft Sheet. Add a line of hot glue around the edge of the circle. Position the necks of the larger Old Olive ornaments, flat side down, evenly around the circle. Press into the hot glue. Use the Bone Folder to avoid burning yourself. Nest the smaller ornaments with the larger ornaments.

To finish up, add Tulle Ribbon and linen thread, and create a rosette to add to the center of the ornament with the clear button using hot glue. Punch a hole for ribbon at the top. Optional: Add Dazzling Details Stampin’ Glitter or Champaign Shimmer Mist to add sparkle to the finished ornament.

Christmas Tree

I'm sure you're thinking it's weird to see Christmas cards already but I had to try out some of the new product I ordered from the 2012 Holiday catalog.  I wish I could remember where I saw this layout, but I just can't.  That's why I like to write posts after making the card cause I can give credit where credit is due.  Sorry if that person is you.
I love how the tree is actually cut out of the whisper white to show the designer series paper underneath.  This was easy to do using the new Holiday Collections Framelit Dies.  They go along with the Scentsational Season stamp set that you can order as a bundle and save 15%!
Scentsational Season Clear-Mount Bundle
I absolutely LOVE how Stampin' Up! is starting to offer bundles of product at a discounted price.  And if you want the stamp set you should DEFINITELY order the framelits because you will love being able to do so many different things with both.

2012 Holiday Catalog

The 2012 Holiday catalog has been released!  If you haven't seen it you are going to want to get your hands on one.  I'm loving all of the product for the upcoming holidays as well as the new larger size (8-1/2 by 11) and page count!

See it Online (flash) here

I am planning to have an open house in August but with my mom's knee surgery next week, I'm trying not to have anything set in stone until I see how it goes.  If you placed an order through me within the year, you should have received your copy in the mail.  Contact me if you would like to get together before my open house to see this catalog.

Here's 2 samples of some products in this catalog.

Check back later this week to see how I made each of these cards.

Women's Day Advertisement

Check out Women's Day magazine holiday supplement for a Stampin' Up advertisement in stores now.  In this advertisement Stampin' Up directs readers to a unique web address that contains instructions for making the Christmas Stocking project featured in the advertisement, along with a link to a special offer designed to help new customers connect with a demonstrator through online ordering. They have Christmas Keepsake Boxes (item#129024) left over from a previous recruiting promotion, and thought these would be perfect to help new customers get engaged in paper crafting in time for the holidays! While the Christmas Keepsake Box will be available to anyone from now until December 31, the offer is primarily designed as an incentive for new customers who respond to this advertisement.  Check out Women's Day magazine to see the ad and get the web address if you are a new customer!
