Stampin' Up! Leadership 2013 Recap

This was my first Leadership and it just happened to be in Orlando, FL.  What a great break from our cold, snowy weather in Pittsburgh.  If you want to read about my family vacation we made of it then click here.

Leadership started Thursday afternoon.  Once I got my badge and packet, which included a free stamp set and a coupon to order a free stamp set, I walked around the hall to see all of the samples and information there was.  I then went to a first timers meet and greet where we played a Bingo game and won a container of embellishments.  The first day was sort of just a check-in day so I took lots of pictures of the different samples on display.

Checking out the samples
Friday started with a general session where Shelli, the owner and CEO, started it off by speaking about 25 years of business.  Her daughter, Sara Douglass, came on to stage next for a stamping demonstration and to show the new man's kit called Dude, You're Welcome.  Then another home office worker, Bonnie Thurber, unveiled another new product line called Paper Pumpkin.  This is one of the most things that I'm excited about and hoping it helps get some new customers.  It ended with all of us getting the Try it Kit and Welcome Kit for the Paper Pumpkin.

We broke in to classes and the one I took was about Social media.  It gave me some good tips for blogging, Facebook and YouTube.  I'm hoping it inspires me to start making videos.  After lunch there were mini 20 minute classes about all different topics.  I learned so much and have some great ideas to help grow my business.

We ended Friday with a pajama party general session with stamping demonstrations from more home office employees.  We learned the locations for this years upcoming Regional events.  I'm already planning to get to the Baltimore regional on April 13th.  Finally, we all received DSP and a stamp free!  It was a successful but long first day.

Saturday started with another general session.  We celebrated by having demonstrators walk on stage for their latest promotion of that year.  I got to walk with other demonstrators that promoted to Supervisor this year.  It was so cool and I hope to be able to do that again and again and again!  Shelli Gardner came out to demonstrate more products from the Spring catalog.  Finally, Scott Nielsen revealed Best of 25 years Stamp Set promotion and gave us all silver glimmer paper and some embellishments.

I attended a class about meeting new people to grow my business.  After lunch I attended a class about helping my downline through their first year and am most excited about implementing these ideas.  Leadership ended with a final general session with more demonstrations and inspirations.  Check out what we did after one of the talks.

The day ended with Shelli coming out one final time to wrap it up and give away one final stamp set to all attendees.  It was such an amazing experience that I will never forget.  I am so glad that I was able to go and hope to go back to many more in the future.
