Hostess Thank You Bag

If you host a Stampin' Up! workshop you get treated like a King/Queen.  Not only do you get the hostess benefits to order your favorite products for FREE, but you get nice gifts like this from me as my way of thanking you for hosting the workshop!

This bag was full of Stampin' Up! products that I gave to my hostesses in March.  I just love spoiling my hostess and who wouldn't want more Stampin' Up! products to use!  You can host your own workshop with your family and friends in your home; we can do a catalog party where you just collect orders; or we can even do a Facebook party if you aren't local!  Contact me to learn more or check my available local party dates at http://brittnysmith.stampinup.net

Customize Your Stampin' Up! Experience!

As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator the one thing that I love to do is to introduce new people to our products.  One way I do that is by going in to hostesses homes who invite their friends and family over to have a home party.  They earn lots of free products and it's a blast seeing people experience crafting for the first time with our products.  I customize the party to what the hostess will want their guests to make and take home with them.  Last month I went in to someones home who wanted to do a wine bottle tag.  This was during Sale-a-bration so some of these products you cannot order anymore but I still wanted to show you the project.

The ladies enjoyed learning how to use these products and it's given them a way to pass out those wine bottles as gifts!  Check out my calendar of events at http://brittnysmith.stampinup.net to see my open party dates if you think you would like to take advantage of these benefits as a hostess!  We can also party on Facebook if you are far away or can never get everyone together.  Contact me at brittnycreates@gmail.com.

    30 Sucks!

    Front
I had a friend turning 30 a few weeks back and saw this idea on Pinterest that I knew I wanted to do.  You fill a container with lollipops and create the tag.  I used Patio Party DSP as the band around the container.  I ran Midnight Muse through the Big Shot with the Floral Frames Framelits Dies. I punched out a circle using the 2-1/2" Circle Punch.  I used the Marvelous Markers to freehand "30 Sucks."  Finally I added Dazling Details to add a little bling to the 30!  It was a big hit when I gave it to my friend.

Tissue paper I stamped on for an added touch to the bag

    Happy Birthday Card and Gift

I am an assistant high school volleyball coach.  The other person I coach with had a birthday on Saturday so I wanted to make her a little something.  I had baked cookies using the Special Events sweet pressed cookie stamp sets over the weekend and all I had to do was make a cute tag to close the bag with!  I put the cookies in our medium flat cello bags.  I created the tag by stamping the 3rd largest image from Daydream Medallions.
    Daydream Medallions Clear-Mount Stamp Set
I then stamped "a gift for you" from Bring on the Cake
Bring on the Cake - Clear-Mount Stamp - Clear-Mount Stamp Set - by Stampin' Up!
I used the coordinating die cuts from Floral Frames Framelits Dies to run the whisper white and DSP from Howlstooth and Scaringbone through the big shot.  I used snail adhesive to put the flowers together than tied the ribbon around the bag with white bakers twine.  This is a simple gift that doesn't take much time to make.

Of course I needed a card to go with the cookies though and here's what I came up with.

I saw this card on splitcoaststampers.com by Christine Kokiw and wanted to try it.  I just love how simple but neat this card looks.  This was a simple card to make that doesn't require a lot of supplies that could be adapted for other occasions.  I'm thinking of trying this out for thank you cards.

Supplies needed to make this card:

Card Stock: Tangerine Tango base 4-1/4" x 5-1/2"
                         Whisper White layer 4" x 5-1/4"

Stamp Set: Bring on the Cake (clear mount) 121958 $27.95 (wood mount) 121899 $38.95

    Ink: Tangerine Tango
            Pacific Point
            So Saffron
            Old Olive
            Tempting Turquoise

Accessories: Old Olive 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon
              Tools: Big Shot
Houndstooth Textured Impressions Embossing Folder Die
Stamp-a-ma-jig (I don't usually use this tool but it worked perfect to line up "Happy Birthday")
                         Craft and Paper Scissors
       Adhesives: Snail
Mini Glue Dots to glue ribbon ends on back of whisper white

    Small Thank You

I was trying to think of a small thank you gift that was easy to make and hold a Hershey Nugget.  I had a bag of those laying around and found this cute tutorial HERE.  Love this simple and adorable holder.

This is such an adorable holder that can be changed to fit any occasion.  And who doesn't love receiving chocolate as a small gift?!!

    Fabric Flower

I have been DYING to try out a project with our Stampin' Up! fabric but just never found the time.  I bought the Comfort Cafe Designer Fabric awhile back because I love the color combinations in this fabric.

Anytime you order our fabric you get 3 extra-wide fat quarters (27" x 18") in 3 coordinated designs that can be cut with select Big Shot dies.

    Designer Fabric details:
    ■ 100% cotton
    ■ Patterns coordinate with select Designer Series Paper designs

The Comfort Cafe fabric coordinates with the Comfort Cafe suite. The colors include Cajun Craze, Midnight Muse, Pool Party, Soft Suede, Summer Starfruit, Whisper White.  This allows you to match the fabric with the colors to any of your projects with ease.

I do not sew even though I have thoughts of wanting to so I found a project that I could use a hot glue gun to try the fabric out.  I have seen fabric flowers all over the web that I got inspiration from.  Here's what my flowers turned out to look like.

*Sorry for the poor picture quality.  Taken from my phone and think camera needed to be wiped clean.*

Cute way to gift instead of wrapping
Supplies needed to make this project:

    Fabric: Comfort Cafe

    Accessories: Brights Designer Buttons
                         Early Espresso Bakers Twine

             Tools: Craft and Paper Scissors
                         Big Shot
                         Flower Folds Bigz XL Die
                         Hot Glue Gun (store bought)
Clips for the back bought at store

    Steps to make this project:
    1. Using craft and paper scissors, cut your fabric to the length of the flower folds bigz XL die.
    2. Run the die through the Big Shot.
    3. Assemble flowers with hot glue gun. I placed a small strip of glue on the back of each layer going the opposite way from the previous layer.
    4. Thread bakers twine through button.
    5. Glue button to flower.
    6. Add backing if you want or add to project using adhesive.
How cute is that flower attached to the picture keeper box instead of using wrapping paper.  The best part is that someone can take it off and reuse it on something else!!!  Gotta love that!

There are so many cute things you can use our fabric for and I can't wait to try out more.
